One Life

If nature had intended us to have multiple lives, she would have given us the ability to be in multiple places at the same time, not just physically but also equipped the brain to be able to process and execute in multiple places at the same time. Till science and technology can equip people to do that, we have to believe that we were designed to live just one life. However we fight with nature to live multiple lifes. Ours presents and their parents before that lived one life but we have been told that we can have in all. Having it all means multiple lives…you cant have it all. The other type lives multiple lives by living different lives in stages…now I live in a city, work in an office…so tomorrow we can live in the village and become a farmer. Our caste system and rigid policies of the society also want everyone to have one life…if you are a cobbler be a cobbler for life…you kids will aslo be an extension of that one life…your generation till a 1000 years will have one life…the definition of one life here is the lifestyle and what you create and consume….

Nomads had one life but a life that could have some streaks to other life also. Hence we love to travel. It gives you a glimpse into an alternative lifestyle. Hence I pity traveller who travel to see monuments. Travel to see culture. Monuments are history of culture. Consume them as that. Food, music, art, occupations. There is sense in the term when in rome do the roman. Don’t look for you thepla, dosa, bhajja and chicken tikka when you travel. Even 3 days and four nights doesn’t make sense because you will see but not experience the life there on 3 days and 4 nights. You gotta live atleast a month, work there, speak their language.

You have one life..travel. not because time is short but because you have one life try to live a multiple life.
